Name:             Group 5 Presents Writing Exercises Part A

Date:               5 Jun 2019

Goals:             To practice writing in different areas such as POV, exposition, show, etc.

Execution:      Four tables will be set up with a specific topic each. The topics are, Show, not Tell, Exposition, Character Building, and POV. Members will pick a table with a topic of their interest. A brief explanation will be given at each table and then members will have time to practice writing. Discussion and readings of work may follow. After a specific time frame members will rotate to another table of their choice. There will be three rotations for the night, allowing ample time at each table. Other tables will be set up for members to practice writing on their own, if they wish. Members to bring writing material.

6:32 – 6:35 Guild business

6:35 – 7:00 First Rotation

7:00 – 7:25 Second Rotation

7:25 – 7:50 Third Rotation

7:50 – 8:00 Clean Up

Everyone can always use practice writing in different styles, or if you’re a seasoned writer, your work during these sessions may help someone else. Together we can all grow as writers. I may even get better at writing these announcements.
